Organizational Poverty vs Abundance

While we attend to the day-to-day needs of our organizations and communities, it’s easy to get caught up in the details - in the Trees as it were… But the main Calling of Non Profit Leaders is to be able to both balance the day to day with the larger strategic vision, mission, and movement of the organization:

To frequently and seamlessly move between the 30,000ft view of the complete Forest, while considering the individual impact of each Tree (people and systems) within the Forest.

One way to do this is to have a baseline idea of where your organization lies to refer to.

I’ve created one way of doing this, that may be helpful for you and your Team as well:

Frequently and Honestly assessing our areas of strength and challenge is essential, as we strive for Organizational Abundance -

Especially as our agencies are Living & Breathing organisms, which can change, develop, morph, expand, contract, and regress subtly over time.

Where does your agency currently lie on the Organizational Poverty Spectrum? Where would you like it to be? What intentional plans and processes can you put in place today, to get one step closer to Organizational Abundance?

We’re here for you!!
